TUFTS UNIVERSITY, COMMUNITY HOUSING

Medford & Somerville, Massachusetts

A design-build project involving the construction of two new wood-framed ground-up residences and renovating and expanding an existing residence to provide a total of 75 new beds of student housing. All three of the 3-story residences were designed and built to meet Passive House certification criteria through the use of prefabricated super-insulated panels, low flow plumbing fixtures, as well as other components that meet all of the quality control metrics required under passive house standards.

“Your project manager and superintendent took care to develop a plan on how to execute the project, and they worked that plan. It was clear that they were our active partner in making this project a success! I look forward to working with Bowdoin again.”
